Joes meets Albert Irvin

Joe met Albert Irvin earlier in the year at the Chelsea Arts Club and was then invited to the private view of his exhibition "A Retrospective" in Newcastle at the University Gallery and Baring.

Joe..."it was so wonderful to meet Bert again and so fantastic to have a chat about priming with one of the country's best living painters over a bottle of wine."

The first picture below shows Joe with a new work of art by Irvin, and the second picture is Joe with Albert and his wife Betty.

30/01/07 - Joe meets Rolf

Joe met Rolf Harris whilst painting a picture of Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester. The event was part of the BBC's forthcoming documentary on artist L.S. Lowry's life and works.

Fifteen artists were approached to each create a 21st century vision of Lowry's painting 'Piccadilly Gardens'. The original Lowry was created in the same place over fifty years ago in 1954.
